Democratizes Opportunities Through Decentralized Technology

What is Bitkub Chain Proof-of-Stake?

Bitkub Chain Proof of Stake is a consensus mechanism on Bitkub Chain that allows participants with sufficient tokens to become a Validator or Delegator by staking KUB Coin on Bitkub Chain. The Proof-of-Stake mechanism has benefits such as energy efficiency, scalability, faster transactions, and security measures for network integrity, allowing the nodes to behave properly and helping the blockchain network to be secure and decentralized.

What is staking on Bitkub Chain?

Staking involves depositing KUB to activate the validator. As a validator, your role is crucial, encompassing data storage, transaction processing, and adding blocks to the blockchain. This active contribution ensures the security of the Bitkub Chain, benefiting all users and earning you additional KUB rewards.

What is Validator?

Validator is a group of individuals who validates transactions on the Blockchain Network to ensure the security of transactions and decentralization of the Blockchain.

Types of validator

🟢 Solo Node

Solo Node on Bitkub Chain provides complete control and full participation reward on your node.

Those considering solo staking should have at least 10 KUB and a computer connected to the internet 24/7. Explore furthermore on the Solo node here.

🔵 Pool Node

Pool Node on Bitkub Chain allows delegators or users to delegate their KUB Coin to this node type, increasing staking power and the chances of the node validator to mine block on Bitkub Chain.

Those considering pool staking should have at least 100,000 KUB and a computer connected to the internet 24/7. Explore furthermore on the pool node here.

What is Delegator?

Delegators are groups of individuals who participate in the validation of transactions with the Validators. The Delegators shall jointly stake the KUB coin with the Validator to delegate authority to the Validator to validate the transaction and receive rewards based on the proportion of staking power under which the Delegator can do without its own technical knowledge or infrastructure.

Types of Delegation on Bitkub Chain

🟩 Delegation with Official Node

Official nodes are designed with robust security measures to prevent slashing incidents. Since trusted entities manage official nodes, they ensure the validator node operates within the network's guidelines, greatly reducing the risk of slashing and enhancing the node's stability.

By selecting an official node, delegators are likelier to experience a consistent and uninterrupted staking experience. The expertise and resources of the node's operators enable them to maintain high uptime, ensuring that the validator node remains operational and active. This continuity of node power ensures a steady flow of staking rewards for the delegators without any unnecessary interruptions.

🟦 Delegation with Pool Node

Pool Node is operated by different individuals or corporates who wish to become validator nodes on Bitkub Chain. While official nodes offer stability and security, pool nodes have their own unique advantages that can be enticing for certain users.

Pool nodes often offer a more flexible approach to delegation. Unlike the official node, which may require only Bitkub NEXT wallet to participate, pool nodes allow users to delegate with any wallet, such as Metamask, granting accessibility to a broader range of delegators.
